Adjusting the characteristics of acoustic piano sounds
You can adjust the characteristics of acoustic piano sound.
-
1.Tap the “Acoustic Simulator” button.
-
2.Specify the settings below.
- ①
-
String Resonance
When you play an acoustic piano, the strings resonate with the harmonics of the keys that are struck. You can choose the characteristics of that resonance.
Tone: Restore the default setting for each tone.
OFF: Disable string resonance.
1 to 10: The higher the value, the stronger the string resonance. - ②
-
Damper Resonance
When you press the damper pedal on an acoustic piano, the strings for all 88 keys are released and all the strings resonate with the harmonics of the keys that are struck. You can choose the characteristics of that resonance.
Tone: Restore the default setting for each tone.
OFF: Disable damper resonance.
1 to 10: The higher the value, the stronger the damper resonance. - ③
-
Open String Resonance
The high register of an acoustic piano has no damper and is always open string, which gives a unique resonance. You can set the degree of resonance.
Tone: Restore the default setting for each tone.
OFF: Disable open string resonance.
1 to 10: The higher the value, the stronger the string resonance. - ④
-
Aliquot Resonance
An aliquot is a resonator that is sometimes used in acoustic pianos. It uses the resonance of additional strings in the middle and upper registers. It is sometimes referred to as the Duplex Scale. You can set the amount of resonance.
Tone: Restore the default setting for each tone.
OFF: Disable aliquot resonance.
1 to 10: The higher the value, the stronger the aliquot resonance. - ⑤
-
Damper Noise
When you press the damper pedal in an acoustic piano, the damper separating from the piano wires produces a slight metallic ringing sound. You can choose the volume of that noise.
Tone: Restore the default setting for each tone.
OFF: No damper noise.
1 to 10: The higher the value, the louder the noise. - ⑥
-
Key On Action Noise
When you strike the keys on an acoustic piano very softly, the sound (noise) of the mechanical operation is audible even without the hammers reaching the strings. You can choose the volume of that noise.
Tone: Restore the default setting for each tone.
OFF: No key-on action noise.
1 to 10: The higher the value, the louder the noise. - ⑦
-
Key Off Action Noise
When you release the keys on an acoustic piano, the piano produces a mechanical operation sound (noise). You can choose the volume of that noise.
Tone: Restore the default setting for each tone.
OFF: Disable key-off action noise.
1 to 10: The higher the value, the louder the noise.
